AM Reprographics uses an Océ CPS system for small format digital colour printing. This utilises technologies known as Direct Imaging and Copy Press. Apart from delivering a high quality reliable output it also has major environmental benefits.
Manufacturing
The CPS system has been designed for reuse. Océ have carefully
selected materials that yield a long life span and can be reused or
recycled. The manufacture and running of the system does not produce any toxic waste.
Less Toner - Less Waste
Unlike traditional Laser Printers, where they lay toner down over toner, the Océ CPS uses a mono layer of toner, which not only looks better but reduces toner waste. Océ's research indicates that the CPS uses approximately 75 grams of toner per sheet, up to six times less toner than a standard Electrostatic Photocopier or Laser Printer.
Less Emissions - Less Power
When running, the CPS uses half the power of a traditional Electrostatic printer and produces no ozone, making it economical and clean.
Less Jams - Less Paper
The CPS has a short paper path which reduces the risk of misfeeds and jams, saving paper, energy and toner. Any waste paper produced is

All the paper across our services are ISO14001 certified (an international standard for sustainability) and our standard papers for digital printing and wide format printing and plotting are all FSC approved. All papers and cards are either ECF or TCF (elementary or total chlorine free) and where possible, recycled paper is available on request.
Reduced Packaging
Many of our papers we receive come in 2500 sheets boxes rather than every 500 sheets paper-wrapped and are delivered on pallets which now pack 15% more media to reduce the number of pallets and shipments required. Toner is supplied in Polypropylene bottles instead of high-grade plastic cartridges because clean burning is considered better for the environment than a cartridge take-back and reuse schemes.
Electronic File Transfers
Rather than "burning" use once CD's, our "Collection Point" Software allows you to download any electronic files we create for you of any file size, without putting a strain on your emails or the environment.
